ASEAN was established in 1967 to integrate the South East Asian Landscape to address various development aspects of the global arena. Cooperation has been strengthened within three communities: the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC); the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC); and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
